Frequently asked
How does Century work?
Pick a challenge (Half Century, Century or Double Century), choose a theme, and tap Begin the Century. One phone runs the timer for the whole group: every round lasts 60 seconds, and the app marks each new round with a themed sound. When you finish (or end the session early) you can save the challenge and share a result card.
Can I change the round length?
No — a round is always 60 seconds. That’s the Century. You change the number of rounds by choosing a different challenge.
Can I change the theme mid-game?
Yes. On the timer screen tap the audio control in the centre to switch theme without restarting — the countdown keeps running.
Where are my saved challenges?
Open Settings → Your Century. Everything is stored only on this device.
I don’t hear the round sounds.
Make sure your phone isn’t on silent, the volume is up, and the audio options are enabled in Settings. Each theme plays its own bundled, licensed audio.
Will I lose my data if I delete the app?
Yes. Century has no account or cloud backup — your saved challenges and photos live only on your device. Use Share to keep a copy of any result you care about.
Privacy
Your saved challenges and photos stay on your device. When lock-screen Live Activity updates are active, an anonymous push token and the current challenge’s timing (start time, round length, total rounds, theme) are sent to a Cloudflare service and Apple’s push servers solely to update the lock screen at each round boundary — there are no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking. See the full privacy policy.
